Mark Joseph Friedman

Managing Director

Mark is the co-founder and Managing Director of Baan Thai Immigration Solutions. Mark is a member of the California Bar and a 1987 graduate with honors from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. For the past 20 years, Mark has served as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for global, US private, and public companies. His work required extensive engagement with government regulatory and law enforcement agencies, including the US Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Trade Commission, Customs and Immigration Service, and states’ Attorney Generals. He also served for 15 years on the Board of Directors for the largest pro bono legal services agency in Los Angeles and is currently a member of the Board and Secretary for a criminal justice nonprofit organization.

Thai immigration is both a professional and personal pursuit. Mark’s spouse immigrated from Thailand many years ago and is now a US citizen. Mark immigrated to Thailand with his wife, where they split their time between their home in Phetchabun Province and Bangkok. Mark is actively pursuing his Thai language studies.

Sikarin “Roy” Sripaoraya, Managing Associate Counsel, leads our Corporate and Thai Visa teams. Roy brings 9+ years of experience, counseling expat and Thai corporate clients and foreign investors in areas that include corporate structure and formation and obtaining investment promotion certification from the Thailand Board of Investment. Roy also provides ancillary corporate compliance, permitting, work permit and visa immigration services. Roy is a 2015 graduate from Thammasat University with a bachelor’s degree in law. He is fluent in English and Thai.

Mint is a Thai licensed attorney and is responsible for providing immigration services to expats looking to make Thailand their home. This includes helping clients successfully navigate the retirement and marriage visa processes. Mint also supports expats looking to start their businesses in the Kingdom including assisting with corporate formations, work permits and business visas, as well as Board of Investment matters. She is fluent in both English and Thai.

Mint is a 2022 graduate from Chulalongkorn University with a bachelor’s degree in law. She holds a lawyer’s license credentialed by the Lawyers Council of Thailand.

Sathida Pulsawat (Chup) is an Associate at Baan Thai, assisting our expat clients with making Thailand home, including navigating the visa process. Chup is a 2022 graduate from Kasetsart University with a bachelor’s degree in law with a focus on international and immigration law. She also served as an intern at the Office of the Attorney-General. Chup lived in Australia for one and half years, and appreciates, firsthand, how challenging and stressful the visa process can be. This experience fueled her passion for helping others navigate the complexities of immigration. Chup is fluent in both Thai and English.

Office Administrator

Orawan (“Auy”) Lasringiyom is Baan Thai’s Office Administrator. Auy is responsible for the company’s accounting and client relations functions and manages the company’s relationship with its certified Thai accountants. She also leads the human resources function for the company, including employee benefits. Auy has substantial law firm administration experience and is fluent in English and Thai.

Auy earned a master’s in business administration from Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok. Auy also received a bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Uttaradit Rahabhat University, Uttaradit Province.

Yanisa Soomsub (Cake)

Assistant Office Administrator

Yanisa Soomsub (Cake) serves as the Assistant Office Administrator. She supports client relations, including invoice and accounting systems. Yanisa also supports the U.S. visa team, including compiling visa-related applications and documentation. Yanisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in French from Silpakorn University (2024) and is fluent in French, English, and Thai.

With over 5 years of digital marketing experience, Copter will apply his exceptional marketing skills and technical proficiency to help prospective clients reach out for consultations and find the best, long-term solutions.

Copter earned a bachelor's degree in communications arts with a major in Branding and Advertising from Bangkok University. He is fluent in English and Thai.

Wilbert “Wil” Briones is the Client Services Manager at Baan Thai Immigration Solutions. Wil is an experienced Immigration consultant for Thai nationals seeking to immigrate or visit the United Kingdom, Australia, and the EU. He has a deep understanding of the visa and immigration requirements and processes for these countries and regions. Over the years, Wilbert has provided clients with practical and strategic advice about how to obtain their desired result and is thorough in his guidance so all submissions are complete. His expertise includes spousal, fiancé, and visitor visa applications.

Fluent in English, Wilbert is a graduate of Business Administration, Major in Marketing from Dr. Filemon C. Aguilar Memorial College in Las Piñas City, Philippines, and he is currently studying for his Masters of Business Administration at AMA University Philippines.
