Planning to live in Thailand with your Thai spouse? Here are a few things to know.

Thai Spouse Visa Requirements:

You can apply for a Non-immigrant O Visa for Thailand from the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in your country if you are married to a Thai citizen; alternatively, you can enter Thailand and apply for a Non-immigrant O Visa from the Immigration Bureau.
You are required to register your marriage to a Thai citizen in Thailand, which includes certification by your home country’s embassy or consulate (more information regarding this process will be provided during your initial consultation).
You must meet certain financial requirements by either maintaining a minimum balance in a Thai bank or providing evidence of a minimum monthly income in Thailand (details about how to prove your financial circumstances will be provided during your initial consultation).
If you arrive in Thailand with a Non-immigrant O Visa, you may apply for a one-year extension through your local immigration office. Present the following supporting documents when you apply:

Thai immigration officers will conduct a home inspection and two local residents must attest to your relationship and residency.
After your visa is issued, you will need to submit 90-day reports confirming your place of residence.
You are required to extend your Non-immigrant O Visa every year.
You will need a re-entry permit to travel outside Thailand.
